Music

Radio Jammor is an online radio station based in Scotland. The station is licenced to broadcast copyrighted music in the UK.

The station is predominantly a rock and pop station featuring music from the charts since their inception in the 1950s.

Radio Jammor has dedicated time slots for Scottish artists and artists with a significant Scottish connection.

This includes traditional Scottish folk music and 'auld family favourites'.

The station will also dedicate time slots to a range of music genres and keep abreast of new music.

The station will be open to new music submissions. Please provide any individual music submission in .mp3 format. Links for larger files are acceptable if the link is clearly from a reputable source. URLs in short form, or are not from recognizable and reputable sources, will be ignored as spam or as potentially harmful. Please see the contact page.

Scottish Independence

Radio Jammor supports the principle of Scottish independence.

The breakfast, lunch and tea-time shows may feature news or updates about independence.

Radio Jammor may interrupt or interject into broadcasts at any time to relay breaking news.

The station will happily mention, free of charge, public events (e.g., marches, public stalls) by "Yes" groups, as we define them.

The station will provide coverage, as and when it can, of independence related events.

Station Features

Music requests, with or without on-air dedications, can be made for a small, ‘jukebox’ fee. See the requests page for more information.

Radio Jammor has a time slot dedicated to female voices, where the artist or artists are female, or the lead singer is female.

Most of our shows operate a 'soft start' which means that the designated show times are approximate, as they will start upon the end of the last track from the preceeding show. Exceptions to this are the breakfast shows, lunchtime shows, the New Music and Scottish Albums Chart show and The Auld & Traditional Scottish Show, which operate a 'hard start' and will start at the designated time (allowing for the delay in streaming which is usually around 15 seconds).

The station would be particularly interested in collaborating with independence groups or individuals who may be under-represented within the movement, and would appreciate some airtime. If that’s you, get in touch.

Are you someone who loves music and wants the opportunity to present a show? Think you can put together an hour-long pre-recorded broadcast? Then let’s talk about it.
